Residential workshop 2021

For the second consecutive year, participants in the Mentor Project gathered in Marsala for their annual workshop. This year, the focus was on refining the Problem-Based Learning didactic methodology, led by Antonella Lotti, a professor at the University of Modena-Reggio Emilia, and assisted by Annamaria De Santis.

Problem-based learning (PBL) is a training method that places students in an active position by using various strategies. It uses problematic situations as the starting point for learning and alternates classroom work in small groups with independent study at home. This increases student motivation and makes learning meaningful by developing self-directed study and critical reasoning skills.
