From 4 to 6 October 2024, a residential workshop took place in Sciacca, comprising two parallel sessions aimed at strengthening modes and possibilities for communication and relationships in the classroom.
The first session, “Laboratorio di comunicazione espressiva e storytelling”, led by Chiara Muscato, guided participants through an exploration of the use of narration and creative expression as educational tools.
The second session, “La parola è il corpo”, curated by Carlo Teresi, explored the relationship between voice, body, and stage presence, offering practical ideas for more authentic and effective communication in the classroom.
The feedback collected at the end of the experience painted an extremely positive picture: almost all participants stated that they had integrated the proposed methodologies into their courses to a greater or lesser extent. Mentors also reported experimenting with new modes of expression and narrative in the classroom, adapting them to the needs of students and the context. They have also made significant changes to their teaching based on shared practices and comparisons that emerged during the workshop. They recognised this experience as a real moment of transformation and impact on their teaching approach in daily practice.
The experience also strengthened the bonds between participants, fostering a culture of collaboration and a stronger sense of belonging to the project community.
